Bitcoin Solo Mining Setup Guide
Two separate Stratum instances, one combined statistic: port 3334 for standard miners and port 3335 for high rented hashrate.
Which port is correct?
| Use case | Pool URL | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Bitaxe, Lucky Miner, Avalon, Antminer, WhatsMiner and standard ASICs | stratum+tcp://btcpublic.vargatech.net:3334 | Dynamic for standard miners |
| MiningRigRentals / High Hashrate | stratum+tcp://btcpublic.vargatech.net:3335 | min 131072 · start 524288 · max 16777216 |
Shared credentials
| Host | btcpublic.vargatech.net |
|---|---|
| Username | YOUR_BTC_ADDRESS.Worker01 |
| Password | x |
| Protocol | Stratum V1 |
Bitaxe / AxeOS, Antminer, WhatsMiner und Avalon
Use port 3334. Enter your full Bitcoin mainnet address plus an individual worker name as the username. Save the configuration and reconnect the miner. Labels such as Pool URL, Stratum URL or URL refer to the same field in different firmware interfaces.
- Open the Pool, Mining or Stratum area in your miner web interface.
- Enter the full URL stratum+tcp://btcpublic.vargatech.net:3334.
- Use your BTC address plus a unique device name as username, for example bc1q…xyz.Bitaxe01.
- Set the password to x, save and then check accepted shares and the displayed hashrate.
MiningRigRentals
| Pool / Host | btcpublic.vargatech.net |
|---|---|
| Port | 3335 |
| Worker | YOUR_BTC_ADDRESS.MRR |
| Password | x |
The high-difficulty port starts at share difficulty 524288 and adjusts dynamically up to 16777216. It is suitable for rentals and large SHA-256 rigs. Hashrate, workers, accepted/rejected shares and best shares are fully combined with port 3334 data.
Build the worker username correctly
The format is Bitcoin address, a dot and a device name of your choice. Example: bc1q…xyz.LivingRoomBitaxe or bc1q…xyz.MRR for rentals. Do not use an email address or real name as the worker name.
Verify the connection
After the first accepted share, the worker appears in the combined live statistics. The worker view also shows whether the data comes from port 3334, port 3335 or both. An accepted share is not yet a block find.
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Accepted | The pool accepted the statistical share. Connection and mining are generally working. |
| Rejected | The share was rejected, for example because of a stale job, duplicate or invalid data. |
| Best Share | The strongest measured share value so far. A valid block is only created when Bitcoin network difficulty is reached. |
| Effective hashrate | Performance derived from valid shares. Short-term fluctuations are statistically normal. |
Common connection errors
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| Worker remains offline | Check host, port, internet access and the complete BTC address. Then wait for the first accepted share. |
| Many rejects or stales | Check network stability, Wi-Fi signal, miner clock and overclocking. Reduce frequency if the hardware is unstable. |
| Hashrate looks too low | Wait for several share intervals and compare the 1-hour or 24-hour values instead of individual minute values. |
| Wallet not found | Use exactly the same complete address in the personal dashboard as configured for the Stratum username. |
Personal dashboard
Open the personal miner dashboard and enter the same Bitcoin address used in your Stratum username. It combines your workers across both ports.
